I hope everyone has a blessed and new good things happening for them in the coming New Year, which is only a couple of hours away. I'm looking for a great New Year and many great expectations for it to. I'm looking forward ahead of great things to take place, more good news and even people getting along with each other with great respect, forgiveness and love.
My New Years resolution(s) is very simple. I expect to be finish with both my college courses before 2011. Live a healthy lifestyle from now on, and before December of 2010 sets in-I'm praying that I'll be in my new home. I'll have to work extra hard to make that happen, but with a prayer and faith, I know God is pulling for me.
O.K. Our traditional dinner for New Years is Hopping John, Collard Greens & Ham. Of course there is dessert. Not many people I know likes this kind of dessert. At first I didn't, but it requires a taste and getting use to. So, what kind of dessert will we be having? Fruit Cake. I love this cake, in fact as you all may know that it is traditional having it arounf the Holidays. About round the time of Thanksgiving. I like plenty of nuts in mine, both the walnuts and pecans. Oh yeah I forgot, Coburg Egg Nog. Love it!! Can't do without that around the Holidays.
Well I have to admit, I always miss Christmas when it goes. I anticipate it when it comes, but hate it when it goes. So I console myself of the fact that I have a whole year to look forward and prepare for it again. In fact it is a perfect time to start making, working and/or buying gifts for Christmas 2010. When I'm finish working on it or have bought something, I can find a nice big box and put all my collected gifts in it to save until that fun and festive day comes which is Christmas.
So what are your New Year's Resoolution? What are you having for your traditional New Years dinner? and What are your plans for the New Year that you would like to accomplish?
Whatever it is, I pray that you will be successful of getting it and/or fulfilling your dreams.
Happy New Year Everybody and may you all live a life full of love & peace, with yourselves, family and friends.
Peace Out until next year.

Art School
I have been interested in learning how to paint, sketch and the whole nine yards. I've been trying my hands with it for about 2 years now and I like it. So I've decided to take a course in Art. It's a diploma course, but it's also a start. I am so excited about it and can't wait to learn about different mediums and other famous artists in history. My first course is Introduction to art and drawing. I hope be on top of my class.
Is anyone out there pursuing an interest they long had? Even probably since childhood and you decide to take a leap and go for it.
Merry Christmas every one and Happy Holidays.

Christmas Traditions

Hey everybody, Christmas is only a few weeks away. I know everybody is already in the Christmas Spirit, and if some of you have not already put up and decorate your Christmas Tree, I know some of you already have.
Our Christmas tradition is just that, we usually take the tree down after Thanksgiving and decorate it. As we all decorate inside the house, outside the house and the tree, we put on some Christmas music, pour everyone some egg nog and get to work. Sing jolly ole Christmas songs, busying ourselves like little elves. We always have a blast. During Christmas Eve, my father always grill out, and we enjoying being in the crisp winter air by the fire. It is so nice, it's during those moments when we really take the time to enjoy family, friends & love ones. Tell you the truth, I think that's what traditions bring out of us, the real meaning of each of those Holidays.
So what's your Christmas tradition(s)? What do you do together as a family that brings out those great moments and memories that will not be forgotten?
Happy Holidays Everybody!!!

Say Thank You
When someone does something for me that's sweet, I always make it a point to say thank you. I sent a blogger a subscription to a nice magazine that I though this blogger would have loved. Not a word or a thank you. Honestly, I could have spent my money on other important things. All they have to do is get in contact with me. But now I know, I wouldn't do that again. What I view from this, is that they obviously don't appreciate it. No more, you don't have to worry about me anymore.
What inconsideration they had. Wow, ungrateful.
Keep it real everybody and show someone you appreciate the nice things they do for you by saying, "thank you."
Have a blessed Thankful-Thanksgiving everybody.
