Happy New Year & New Year Resolutions

I hope everyone has a blessed and new good things happening for them in the coming New Year, which is only a couple of hours away. I'm looking for a great New Year and many great expectations for it to. I'm looking forward ahead of great things to take place, more good news and even people getting along with each other with great respect, forgiveness and love.

My New Years resolution(s) is very simple. I expect to be finish with both my college courses before 2011. Live a healthy lifestyle from now on, and before December of 2010 sets in-I'm praying that I'll be in my new home. I'll have to work extra hard to make that happen, but with a prayer and faith, I know God is pulling for me.

O.K. Our traditional dinner for New Years is Hopping John, Collard Greens & Ham. Of course there is dessert. Not many people I know likes this kind of dessert. At first I didn't, but it requires a taste and getting use to. So, what kind of dessert will we be having? Fruit Cake. I love this cake, in fact as you all may know that it is traditional having it arounf the Holidays. About round the time of Thanksgiving. I like plenty of nuts in mine, both the walnuts and pecans. Oh yeah I forgot, Coburg Egg Nog. Love it!! Can't do without that around the Holidays.

Well I have to admit, I always miss Christmas when it goes. I anticipate it when it comes, but hate it when it goes. So I console myself of the fact that I have a whole year to look forward and prepare for it again. In fact it is a perfect time to start making, working and/or buying gifts for Christmas 2010. When I'm finish working on it or have bought something, I can find a nice big box and put all my collected gifts in it to save until that fun and festive day comes which is Christmas.

So what are your New Year's Resoolution? What are you having for your traditional New Years dinner? and What are your plans for the New Year that you would like to accomplish?

Whatever it is, I pray that you will be successful of getting it and/or fulfilling your dreams.

Happy New Year Everybody and may you all live a life full of love & peace, with yourselves, family and friends.

Peace Out until next year.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays

Here are some of my holiday pictures for this Christmas season. I hope everyone is enjoying a fun-filled, blessed and wonderful Christmas with family & friends. This is my Christmas Luncheon I put together for a little family gathering. I created little Christmas cakes for the festivities.

Excuse the clutter, but I wanted to show you my Christmas tree.

Here's my little Christmas cakes again. Very Christmasy isn't it? Some has coconut and pecan.

Here's my gingerbread house I decorated. It was so much fun.

Enjoy your Christmas everyone and have a Happy New Year.

Art School

I have been interested in learning how to paint, sketch and the whole nine yards. I've been trying my hands with it for about 2 years now and I like it. So I've decided to take a course in Art. It's a diploma course, but it's also a start. I am so excited about it and can't wait to learn about different mediums and other famous artists in history. My first course is Introduction to art and drawing. I hope be on top of my class.

Is anyone out there pursuing an interest they long had? Even probably since childhood and you decide to take a leap and go for it.

Merry Christmas every one and Happy Holidays.

Christmas Traditions

Hey everybody, Christmas is only a few weeks away. I know everybody is already in the Christmas Spirit, and if some of you have not already put up and decorate your Christmas Tree, I know some of you already have.

Our Christmas tradition is just that, we usually take the tree down after Thanksgiving and decorate it. As we all decorate inside the house, outside the house and the tree, we put on some Christmas music, pour everyone some egg nog and get to work. Sing jolly ole Christmas songs, busying ourselves like little elves. We always have a blast. During Christmas Eve, my father always grill out, and we enjoying being in the crisp winter air by the fire. It is so nice, it's during those moments when we really take the time to enjoy family, friends & love ones. Tell you the truth, I think that's what traditions bring out of us, the real meaning of each of those Holidays.

So what's your Christmas tradition(s)? What do you do together as a family that brings out those great moments and memories that will not be forgotten?

Happy Holidays Everybody!!!

Say Thank You

When someone does something for me that's sweet, I always make it a point to say thank you. I sent a blogger a subscription to a nice magazine that I though this blogger would have loved. Not a word or a thank you. Honestly, I could have spent my money on other important things. All they have to do is get in contact with me. But now I know, I wouldn't do that again. What I view from this, is that they obviously don't appreciate it. No more, you don't have to worry about me anymore.

What inconsideration they had. Wow, ungrateful.

Keep it real everybody and show someone you appreciate the nice things they do for you by saying, "thank you."

Have a blessed Thankful-Thanksgiving everybody.

Hot Chocolate

Enjoy some hot chocolate tonight everybody. As it gets cold and the wonderful holidays are approaching. Take time out for yourself and enjoy a nice cup of sweet hot chocolate. Afterwards enjoy a good book or craft a gift for someone.
These sugesstions are just a courtesy from your proud sponsor of someone who thinks you need some love. Have a good and warm evening everybody.
I'm off to get some hot chocolate and read one of my favorite books, "Little Women," by Louisa May Alcott. Then as my loving sugesstion stated above, I'm going to start crocheting a gift to give to a love one for Christmas. Oh, but don't forget about your thankfulness of family and love. Make sure you get your Thanksgiving dinner in order, and have fun while you make out your menu, cook and bake with family & friends.
Enjoy your hot chocolate.

Holiday Bonanza

The holiday seasons has begun. I woke up this morning and felt Christmas in the air. No, I haven't forgotten about Thanksgiving. It was just the smell of the fun holidays arriving. Thanksgiving & Christmas are the 2 most favorite holidays I like to celebrate. Of course the next favorite holiday of mine is Valentines Day. Who doesn't love love? I love the winter holidays, because of the traditions that is involved. New ones to be made and making them with family and friends. It's the joyous occasions where people can reflect on what their thankful for and appreciate God for the getting them through tough times. Especially these times. The holidays help bring you to a peace of mind, and it helps to you realize that my problems are not bigger than God. It reminds us that God is still with us and He has never left us.

The Holidays bring about a new restoration of love for mankind and reconciliation with family and friends. The Holiday Bonanza starts when we give of ourselves to the less fortunate and help those who are in need. The best thing about it, is that this act of kindness can be done everyday, and year round. We don't have to wait until the Holidays, but if we've forgotten at least the Holidays that are approaching us now always keeps us reminded.

Happy Holidays everyone and reflect and think about what or how you can bring about the Holiday cheer to those who really need a cheer. There's no time like now during this time to pass on that cheer, joy and love to people today. "May the love of Christ abide in you all."

Stay Crafty & especially stay Loving.

A New Business A New Job

I don't know What should I do? Should I start a new business? Have a new job as a baker instead of being owner of a gift and book shop.
I've always liked to bake since I was a little girl and I like to read about other people's success of their bakery. Now I don't bake cakes as much, but I love to bake a variety of cookies and bars.
As I pose this question to my readers, I am already doing research on what it takes to open up a small bakery.
So please take the survey on the rightand let me know, what you think I should do.
Thank you.

Sunday Night Shows

My usual Sunday night show is whatever that's good coming on. Mostly it will be a nice down to earth movie, but this time it's my favorite reality show. "Amazing Race," that is my favorite t.v. show. O.K. I do confess, I love reality shows. Hope everyone have a good and peaceful Sunday.

The Last & Final Blog

Welcome all. This is my last and final blog. I hope I can keep up with it. The other blogs are obsolete and way out of date.

The story behind the title: Blue Peace Life, I love sea creatures, especially whales and dolphins. I enjoy seeing them in pictures and on t.v. how they gracefully swim and dance in their peaceful world. Thus the word PEACE. These creatures seem to live life as it is already planned out for them, and the look as they are always at peace. They are living a peaceful life in the deep blue sea. Which I think we all should do is live a life in peace, and in color. Live large and live happy. That's always my goal.

To my blog friends, I'll get the ball rolling and add you to my blog reader list gradually as I build my blog. I'm excited to begin a new life and with that new changes.

What my blog will be about is random things of my life experiences, and actually just anything.

Be good everybody and good night.
