Entreprenuerial Spirit Thursday's

The economy has been slowly, but gradually taking an insy winsy turn of some improvement. Yet I have noticed that little by little their are people still striving for that American dream of owning their own business. While some businesses, sadly though, are closing. There are others beginning a new venture of opening ones. For the entreprenuer community, I'd like to say keep pursuing and building your dreams. Don't give up! Even if it looks like it will never happen, trust God that it can. Pray and ask the Lord for direction and guidance. There's always opportunities out there waiting for those who will take that next step or leap of FAITH.

The word for Today, for all fellow entreprenuers and entreprenuers at heart is PERSISTANCE.

If your looking for encouragement and support in your dreams & goals, check back every Thursday for, "Entreprenuerial Spirit Thursday's," ...that is if I can keep up every Thursday. Hopefully these post will keep me on my toes as a business owner and entreprenuer my self.

Happy Thursday everbody,
Crafty Ann

An Interesting Me

I can't figure it out, but I have a few theories why people are so interested in my life. To tell you the truth, it really is about getting in my business, which is none of their business. One theory I have is that, they have something in their life that they don't like about themselves. Or why would anyone try to get in my business in the first place. They seem to be lacking a motivation to enjoy their life, so they have to try to disrupt mine, because they don't feel good about themselves, and they don't want to get their own life in order. So that's how I became "an interesting me." Take care of your own life busy bodies, and mind your business.

I'm Still Here

I know it's been a while since I've blogged, but lot's and lot's of things has been going on in my life. I've been pretty busy rearranging my life, reinventing myself and my new business. Oh and I forgot, trying to finish school and make plans to go into the next phase of my education. With other new projects in tow, it's been an adventure and a challenging journey. I'll speak of one of the trips I'm taking in my goal oriented life. That's the change of my business. There's going to be a new name and new products that I will be promoting and campaigning sometime in the near future. I'll be creating a new blog dedicated to that business and my new products. For right now, I'm not going to let the cat out of the bag just yet. I'll keep you inform though later on. I hope everyone had a fun and wonderful Memorial Day and God Bless you troops for your dedication, love, and passion for protecting us and the country. Respects and Honor to the veterans still here with us and those who have passed on. We will never forget you.

Have a great evening everyone and God bless you all today.

Wear Spring Flowers

Spring is here, and what better way to celebrate it than to wear it. My Aunt purchased a flower ring from my shop and I must say she wore it well. I really liked the color she picked, which was the color blue. The color really melled together with her skin tone and she was modeling that thing. Thanks Auntie for your business.
These flower rings I'm selling are $7.00. I'll be posting them on my website http://www.happytreasures.webs.com/ later on today. My aunt said that these flower rings are what's in these day's. I would say it belongs in fashion to.
The other hot item I've been selling were themed charm bracelets. My aunt bought one as well and I actually was commissioned to make one. Sorry I didn't take any pictures, but maybe next time I will. So my new Spring products have been doing well and Spring is a season for new and exciting things to come. I hope everyone has a "Happy Spring," and enjoy all there is that's warm and happy. Don't forget to check out my website for some new Spring products. Get a head start while your there for Mother's Day to.

Having Tea With the Ladies of England

Here's a sweet give away to enter at www.tparty.typepad.com The T-Cozy Blog. the author of this blog is a sweet lady name Susan. I came across her blog for about a year now. I love reading her blog, and when I visit, it's like going to a bakery or going to visit with a friend to have some tea. Her posts are always warm, interesting and inviting. She is hosting a give away, and to enter is really simple. to find out more and to enter on time, go to the link posted above, and Get Your Cozy On.

Now here's my submission Susan for the contest, and thank you for invite to enter.

Cozy to me means watching a good British movie, like "Sense & Sensibility", "Ladies in Lavender", or "Enchanted April" and sipping some herbal Apple Cinnamon tea-getting comfortable under my favorite pink blanket my sister gave me. This is my me time, it is never to be disturbed by anyone. I don't take phone calls or schedule anything other than getting comfortable and relaxing. This to me is Cozy Heaven. Getting cozy allows me to take care of myself, taking a break from all worries and concerns of life. It keeps me sane and sound emotionally and physically. Really it does. If I don't take care of myself, and my family depends on me to take care of them, through supporting, encouraging, inspiring and nuturing them, who will? If I'm stressed, they undoubtedly are affected by it, by worrying about me, so the cozy time I take to sip my tea and get away to England for a few hours helps me to nuture myself and in return I can healthfully and helpfully nuture my family. This is what cozy means to me.

Spring Sellabration

This month I'm planning a "Spring Sellabration." I like to plan this event every year in celebration of Spring and to introduce some of my new products I'm selling in my shop, along with my new designs of jewelry pieces that I have been working on.

In this picture, the necklace has an African theme going on. It can be worn by a man or woman. It's designed with wooden beads and stringed on hemp cord. I really dig this.

This is my favorite color, and it's similar to the color of my birthstone. This necklace is made with chalk turquoise 10x5 to 10x6 mm flat rectangle and 12 x5 to 13x 7 mm rectangle. This set has a matching pair of earrings & bracelets

I call this necklace "Queen of Wisdom." I love this, because it seems to portray a woman's strength. This necklace is made with wooden beads as well and stringed on hemp cords.

Out on an elegant evening say's this necklace set with the matching earrings. These are made with glass beads. It says, "sharp & edgy" Loovve it!!!

"Bursts of sunshine, and a silver linning in the clouds." This jewelry set set the mood for calm effect and puts you in the mood for a light luncheon.

"Let's go shopping," maybe for flowers. This set reminds me of a playful, colorful garden. This piece is a casual set to wear to just go shopping with friends and have afternoon tea later. Have you ever notice how your art, whatever your medium is, speaks to you? It's the creative mind speaking to us, pushing us to create without rules and think outside the box.
So this is some of my Spring Collection that I'm showcasing at my Spring Sellabration event, I'm having this month. It's been a lot of work preparing and getting things together, making sure that everything is in order, but it has truly been exciting and fun. I still have a few more loose ends to tie up, and I'm pretty sure that even getting very close to time of the event, there will be something that needs to be done.
Hope everyone celebrates Spring in some form or another, and enjoy the harvest of warmth, new life and in nature's beauty it brings.

Hard Working Entreprenuer

It is quite a lot and hard work to be the only person running a business. You are the owner, sales associate, accountant, and a sole manufacturer with 1 person doing the labor. Right now I can't afford an assistant, so I'm doing everything myself. While it is fun and I enjoy having my own business and getting up in the morning and doing what I love to do-is very rewarding. Right now I'm working on a business newsletter/flyer what my business is about, and my next project is putting together a catalog of all my handmade-custom jewelry and lap throws. These lap throws and babby blankets and such is already listed on my website "Bountiful Treasures"
www.happytreasures.webs.com .
Truly even listing products and such is a lot of work. In my shop I mostly sell items I hand make, at least 80% of it. 20% is other retail items, such as cookbooks, novels, prayer journals.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I'm also the stocker and label pricing person. I love building my business, but I do hope soon that I can make enough money to hire an assistant. I'll keep you inform on that. I'll be showning some of my new jewelry creations soon, and I'm going to design some nice bracelets to be sold for only $5.00 soon, and who knows there maybe a small give away coming up soon.
Has anyone just started their own business? and if so, have you considered hiring an assistant?

Working for myself has been a long life dream since I was a little girl, and being a hard working entreprenuer does has it's perks.

Friday's WORD For Today

Every Friday I'm going to try to feature a word that everybody can incorporate or implement into their lives or bestow the action of that word on someone else. I've decided to just randomly turn to a page in the dictionary and on that page choose the word that will be "Friday's Word" to put into action.

Friday's word for today is, NURTURE. Nuture: to train, upbring or educate. To further in development of. *Source: Webster Collegiate Dictionary

Today, try to nuture or take care of yourself and what is needed for you, or take time to nuture someone who needs encouragement, motivation or nuture inspiration in someone who you've notice that has a gift to be developed in them. Be a mentor and nuture what is good, help bring out the best in someone. When you nuture someone who needs love and care, you are rewarded the satisfaction that you have plant a seed of developing success in that person's life.

Have a great day everybody, and don't forget become a nuturer today.

Reality Shows

O.K. for some of you who don't know, I am a reality junkie. Some of readers from past blogs probably already know that. One of my favorite reality shows is coming on tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC. By the way when he was on the Bachelorette, I wish Jillian had picked him. I think they would have made a nice couple, but I guess she's happy with Ed, and you gotta do what makes you happy. BTW, did anyone saw the last episode, with one of the contestants being called out for fooling around with one of the staffers of the Bachelor? My, my, my-poor Jake, looks like he's got the worst season of the batchelor shows than the others had. These girls are something else.

So being that I am a reality junkie, I feel that I owe you to confess and tell you all of my favorite reality shows from the first one listed being my most favorite to the last one being my least favorite. Here we go as follows:

1. Big Brother
2. Amazing Race
3. The Apprentice (Donald Trump)
4. The Batchelor/Batchlorette
5. Survivors

That's my list of most fave of reality shows to least fave. What reality shows do you like (the most) and dislike (least favorite)?

Have a great day everybody.

Black People Hair

Hey girls. I recently have been experimenting with my hair. As some of you know or maybe all of you know, a lot of African American women have perms or relaxers. Some have been blessed with natural soft and manageable hair.
Well through my experimenting with my hair. Going natural is not for me. While I like it on other people, I can't do it. I have cut all my relaxed hair off and therefore my hair is now short, natural & somewhat wavy. I like it and all, but it is a challenge to keep up with natural hair. I realize after doing this that I can manage my hair better with it being relaxed. Well at least I can say I tried it and gave it a go. With that said, after a few days of letting my relaxed hair grow out and I've cut the remaining relaxed hair off, gone short and some what liked it-I quickly ran to my phone and made an appointment with my hair dresser. Hello relaxer and easy managing. Good-bye natural beauty and hard work, not to say that relaxers aren't nice, they are a God-sent.
So to all my fellow women of all race and cultures, I salute you with your natural beauty in every are of your lives. What works for you and what makes you happy-"Do It."

Friday's WORD For Today

The word for today is PEACE. Define what that word means for you today and try to incorporate it into your day.

Peace out. Or shall I say Peace in.

Marriage

I wonder. Will I ever experience it? Where are all the good men? I've been patient and waiting, and let me tell you-I'm not getting any younger. I've been in mood for the past few days. A mood wondering if I'll ever, ever, ever meet the one. My sister said, "just be patient, the right one will come along." O.k. I'm patient, I'm waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waaaaiiiitttttiiiinnnnggg!!! Where is he? She also said, "enjoy your single life girl." Well that all good and well, but I still want a companion to share my life with, my interest, ambitions & vice versa with him to.

Well I'm finish venting and releasing. I just had to get it out. I feel better now.

Until later ya'll.
